​With over 10 years of experience, Media Arts Educator and JBFC Kids Curator Emily Ohara has taught young aspiring filmmakers, elementary through highschool, at the Jacob Burns Film Center in New York. In 2018, Emily earned her Master's Degree in Educational Studies from Manhattanville College allowing her to further her career in discovering innovative ways to effectively teach young people the power of film. Emphasizing collaboration, student choice, and meaningful peer feedback, Emily’s classes are designed to be a safe and fun space where kids can let their creativity fly!
